Dominik Szoboszlai will “probably receive a hefty fine” after flirting with a summer exit in a recent interview with Hungarian publication Index.hu, according to Kicker.
“If I can now take a step towards the five or six best clubs in Europe, should I say no to this challenge? I’ve never been like that,” Szoboszlai said, among other things.
As reported by Kicker, Szoboszlai’s outspokenness didn’t go down well with head coach Marco Rose and sporting director Max Eberl, with the Leipzig bosses believing that his comments caused unnecessary unrest ahead of Saturday’s DFB-Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, the Hungary international doesn’t have to worry about being suspended for the game against Eintracht, according to the report.
