Galatasaray have intensified their pursuit of Ademola Lookman as they look to steal a march on Fenerbahce, according to Sky Italia.
The Turkish champions are weighing up an initial bid of €25 million to test Atalanta’s resolve.
Galatasaray have long admired Lookman and view him as an ideal candidate to elevate their attacking department.
Lookman is currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations alongside current Gala striker Victor Osimhen.
He has bagged three goals and four assists in four matches, leading Nigeria to a semi-final against tournament hosts Morocco on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old is back to his best after a turbulent start to the season, spurred by his failed move to Inter Milan last summer.
Atalanta have been reluctant to let Lookman go in the past, but could be open to a sale in the ongoing winter window, following their recent agreement to sign Giacomo Raspadori from Atletico Madrid.
Lookman is contracted to his current employers until June 2027, and Atalanta are running out of time to cash in one of their most prized assets.
