German Bundesliga outfit VFB Stuttgart have submitted an offer for Stade Brestois centre-back Lilian Brassier (24), according to L’Équipe.
The nature of the offer is set to be a loan with an option to buy the talented Frenchman for a total 8M€ if Brassier plays 50% or more of Stuttgart’s matches during the loan period.
According to France’s leading sports newspaper, the bid is set to fall far below the Brittany club’s valuation of the player, but a second bid from the German outfit is to be anticipated. AC Milan and FC Porto are also being kept abreast of proceedings.
Brassier has been a mainstay of Brest’s incredible season so far, making 17 appearances and scoring 1 goal. He was at the heart of Brest’s remarkable performance and comeback at the Parc des Princes on Sunday evening, Claude Roy’s side coming from 2-0 down to take a valuable point from the champions and conserve third spot in the Ligue 1 standings.
