Bundesliga runners-up VfB Stuttgart are keeping an eye on Nantes centre-forward Mostafa Mohamed (26), according to a report this Wednesday from L’Equipe. The 26-year-old Egypt international initially joined the Ligue 1 side on loan from Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray in 2022. Les Canaris opted to trigger the €6m option to make the switch permanent a year ago, keeping Mohamed at the club with a contract set to expire in 2027. The Egypt international logged 19 goals and seven assists in 80 appearances for Nantes.
Stuttgart are in the market for a centre-forward following the €18m sale of free-scoring Guinea international Serhou Guirassy (28) to Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund. The outlet understands that Die Roten are also exploring deals for Atalanta’s El Bilal Touré (22) and Rennes centre-forward Arnaud Kalimuendo (22). Stuttgart are reportedly in contact with the French centre-forward’s entourage. The Bundesliga club executives have now also inquired about Mohamed.
