Streich signs new Freiburg deal

Freiburg coach Christian Streich has signed a new contract.

SC Freiburg has extended the contract of head coach Christian Streich.

As usual with Freiburg, the club didn’t release any details about the length of the new contract.

Streich’s co-coaches Patrick Baier, Florian Bruns and Julian Schuster have also signed new contracts with the Bundesliga club.

“It is great that we still like to come into the coaching office and have an open and honest exchange,” said Streich.

“The constellation here is special and it’s a pleasure for me to continue working with my coaching colleagues at this club.

Streich is currently the longest-serving coach in the Bundesliga, having held the position since December 2011.
