Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Lars Stindl could be heading for the exit door this summer, when his contract expires.
According to Sport Bild, a move back to 2. Bundesliga outfit Karlsruher SC, where Stindl began his career, could be on the cards.
When Stindl signed a contract extension with Gladbach two years ago, the now 34-year-old promised his wife to move back to their home area at the end of the deal, per the report.
Karlsruher SC must be rubbing their hands at the prospect of getting the experienced midfielder back, but Gladbach remain hopeful that he will sign a new deal.
