Josip Stanisic has reportedly made it clear that he wants to stay at Bayer Leverkusen rather than return to Bayern Munich. Whether this is possible, however, is doubtful.
Josip Stanisic has enjoyed a truly special season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, helping the Werkself to their first ever Bundesliga title ahead of his parent club, Bayern Munich.
Stanisic’s loan spell ends at the end of the season, but according to Sky Germany, he would rather stay at Leverkusen than return to Bayern.
Talks between the clubs are expected to take place after the end of the season.
Whether Bayern would be willing to sell the versatile defender to a direct rival is unclear at this stage.
