Whether Yann Sommer will stay at Gladbach or leave the club before the transfer window slams shut remains an open question.
Sommer is in talks with the club over a new deal beyond 2023, but the parties are yet to reach an agreement, with Manchester United said to be monitoring the goalkeeper’s situation.
Speaking to DAZN in the wake of Friday’s 1-0 over Hertha BSC, Sommer did not want to give any guarantees that he will stay.
“We’ll see,” he said, when asked if he will remain at Borussia-Park if his current talks with Gladbach go well.
“As long as I play here, I will give everything I have for this club.”
