Inter manager Simone Inzaghi’s position at the club is uncertain after the club’s defeat to Spezia on Friday.
Corriere della Sera report that the club’s higher-ups are not happy about the current situation and with the recent results under Inzaghi. His job is in immediate danger and it is not as if he could leave in the summer.
There is a feeling that the ex-Lazio boss has limited trust from the club’s players and he is losing the dressing room with every defeat. It is stated that Inter’s failure to win the Scudetto last season after being in a good position at one point was the first chink in the armour and that was the first to undermine the relationship between the manager and players.
It is also stated that Romelu Lukaku’s relationship with Lautaro Martinez isn’t as special as it used to be. Marcelo Brozović, who is seen as a key player, doesn’t feel secure enough after having lost his place to Hakan Çalhanoğlu. If Inter fail to get past Porto in the Champions League, things can become much more difficult for Inzaghi.
