Arsenal are looking to lure Nordsjaelland’s Andreas Schjelderup to the Emirates Stadium but the striker, who has ‘similarities’ to Manchester City star Erling Haaland, should not rush into a move to the Premier League, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The Gunners registered a 3-2 victory over Liverpool on Sunday as they returned to the top of the Premier League.

What’s the latest news involving Schjelderup?
Although Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta spent close to £120million bolstering his squad during the summer transfer window, it appears he has already set his sights on welcoming further reinforcements to the capital.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the north Londoners are among numerous clubs who are keeping tabs on Schjelderup, who is regarded as the next Haaland in his homeland of Norway.
The report suggests Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in the 18-year-old, who has already found the back of the net seven times this season.
Schjelderup has entered the final two years of his Nordsjaelland contract, leaving his current employers in a difficult position.
It is understood that the Danish outfit are willing to sanction the two-cap Norway under-18 international’s departure if their £17.5million valuation is met.

What has Dean Jones said about Schjelderup?
Jones believes Schjelderup and Manchester City goal-getter Haaland are alike, but that could count against Arsenal in their pursuit.
That is because the transfer insider feels Schjelderup should not follow in his fellow countryman’s footsteps by heading to the English top flight.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think there is such a thing as the next Haaland because he’s such a phenomenon, but you could look for a striker that’s got similar traits, by all means.
“There are similarities between the two of them, obviously, but I’m sure the last thing this player wants is to spend the next 10 years in Haaland’s shadow.
“He wants to be his own man, so one thing I think he should do, for now, is stay away from the Premier League.”
Should Arsenal look to sign Schjelderup in January?
Arsenal already strengthened their options at the top end of the pitch by forking out £45million to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City during the summer.
The Brazilian has already registered nine goal contributions in his first 11 appearances for the club, while fellow striker Eddie Nketiah has found the back of the net in the opening two Europa League group stage clashes.
Although moving for a player likened to Haaland is tempting, Arsenal have already scored 28 goals during the early stages of the campaign and are not in need of another frontman, so the Gunners may be better off allowing Schjelderup to develop further at Nordsjaelland before potentially heading to the negotiating table next summer.
