Sevilla are weighing up the option of terminating Kasper Dolberg’s loan deal in January, report Mundo Deportivo.
The Danish forward arrived to Andalucía from Nice on a season-long loan deal last summer. In an interview at the end of September he stated that he wants to establish himself as a regular starter at Los Nervionenses and sign for the club permanently following the expiration of the agreement in June 2023.
However, Dolberg has failed to meet expectations at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and only netted one goal in eight games since his arrival. The 25-year-old only made three appearances off the bench for Denmark at the World Cup before their shock exit from the competition.
It is believed that Sevilla’s board are trying to find a way to offload Dolberg as soon as the upcoming January transfer window. Los Nervionenses will be considering alternative options in their forwards department to help them climb out of the relegation zone in La Liga.
