On a night where Borussia Dortmund needed to overturn a four-goal deficit, Serhou Guirassy opened the scoring at the Westfalenstadion against Barcelona on Tuesday night, setting a new club record.
The Guinean scored his 11th UEFA Champions League goal of the season, breaking the previous record by a Dortmund player with Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski both on 10.
Guirassy then doubled Borussia Dortmund’s tally on the night with a headed goal for his 12th goal in Europe this season. The 29-year-old would then go on to complete his hat-trick against Barcelona to put Dortmund 3-1 ahead on the night, with his 13th Champions League goal of the season.
