Sergio Ramos is close to returning to former club Sevilla, report Relevo.
The veteran defender was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, then MLS, then Saudi Arabia again, with Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Besiktas also trying to secure his services in recent weeks.
Sevilla did not want to sign him initially, however, that has since changed. The Andalusian side have taken the step that Ramos needed and have submitted a contract offer, as El Desmarque reported and Relevo later confirmed.
Matteo Moretto of Relevo adds that the deal is now closed and that Ramos will join the club.
The offer for the former Real Madrid captain is in line with what Sevilla can pay and is well below the offers that the player has received from elsewhere.
