Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will not extend Lazio contract

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has now decided that he will not renew his current contract with the Biancocelesti.

The Serbian has been linked with a host of clubs during his time at the club but a move has not come about due to the club’s high asking price. Juventus were linked with him in recent months and Manchester United drew links in the summer as well.

Giovanni Albanese has now reported that with Milinkovic-Savic’s current deal expiring in the summer of 2024, he has decided to not renew his deal with the club. Juve, who have been linked with him, will look to move for the Serbian in the summer, having already signed two of his countrymen in Filip Kostic and Dusan Vlahovic over the last 12 months.

Since his contract runs out in 2024, Lazio would have to either sell the player for a lower fee this summer or risk losing him for free in the summer of 2024.
