Sepp van den Berg to decide between Liverpool, Brentford, or Bayer Leverkusen

According to Florian Plettenberg, Sepp van den Berg is set to make a decision on his future in the coming days.

Over the course of the summer, a number of Bundesliga clubs have been attempting to lure the Dutch defender away from Anfield.

However, recently, Mainz, Stuttgart, and Wolfsburg have all had to pull out of deals to sign the 22-year-old.

With Liverpool’s new demand of €20 million plus €5 million in additional add-ons being considered too excessive for all sides, Bayer Leverkusen remain the only Bundesliga side left in the running.

However, the German champions will only make a move for van den Berg should they lose a key defender before the end of the transfer window.

Therefore, with Brentford willing to match Liverpool’s valuation for the defender, it is now up to van den Berg on where he wants to play his football this season.

It is believed that he is in Arne Slot’s plans at Liverpool, but the club are willing to allow him to leave on a permanent basis.

Nevertheless, it is unknown whether the 22-year-old will wait for Leverkusen or elect to remain in the Premier League.
