Sébastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund is a done deal with the Ivory Coast international to undergo his medical on Thursday, according to Sport1‘s Patrick Berger.
For months BVB bosses Hans-Joachim Watzke and the new sporting director Sebastian Kehl have been searching for a replacement for Erling Haaland before agreeing on Haller as their number one transfer target.
A couple of weeks back Kehl hinted that Haller was their priority by explaining that they had to: “compensate for the power and physicality that we are losing through Erling Haaland.”
Earlier this week, Ajax accepted a fee of €31m and €4m in add-ons for the 28-year-old.
Haller could now be named as Dortmund’s latest signing as early as this week.
As reported by Sky Germany‘s Sven Westerschulze, the Ivorian forward has agreed a four-year deal until 2026.
Last season Haller scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in 31 Eredivisie appearances as he led Ajax to the league title.
