Travelling Borussia Dortmund fans stopped supporting their team in the closing stages of the team’s 5-1 defeat at Stuttgart on Sunday afternoon.
Voicing their displeasure, it’s been a difficult week for Die Schwarzgelben fans, after a concerning performance in Brugge, despite a win, which preceded today’s loss that puts the club in eighth and five points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
When asked about Borussia Dortmund fans expressing their displeasure, Sebastian Kehl understood their emotions. Speaking after the game, BVB’s sporting director said: “Understandable, and right.
“During the game supported us right up until the last moment.
“But it is completely understandable that they did not move at the end after such a performance and showed what the team what they thought of the performance.”
Kehl added: “There will not be a single player in the dressing room who would in any way blame the fans for their behaviour today.”
