Paris Saint-Germain have announced this morning that right-back Nordi Mukiele is set to undergo surgery in Finland today on an upper hamstring injury, rendering him unavailable for the rest of the season.
The French international, who arrived from RB Leipzig last summer, has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season. The former Montpellier man had previously been sidelined by a hamstring problem for over a month at the turn of the year, with the PSG medical staff opting for an operation this time in order to avoid it becoming a recurring issue.
Joining Mukiele on the sidelines is Renato Sanches – a regular in the league leaders’ treatment room this season – who has picked up an adductor issue and will be out for three to four weeks, having been forced off after ten minutes in the defeat to Lyon ten days ago. The Portuguese international had suffered the same issue at the start of the campaign, on top of bruises and a hamstring injury.
