“I am very pleased about the trust that has been placed in me and my work. Following in Jörg Schmadtke’s footsteps will be a great challenge that I will tackle with a lot of joy and enthusiasm,” commented Schäfer.

“I have worked closely with Jörg for over four years and am very grateful that he has given me the opportunity to learn, to work independently and to develop myself every day.”

Schindzielorz, who played with Schäfer at Wolfsburg in the past, stated:

“I had a great time in Wolfsburg, both sportingly and privately, and I remember it fondly. I’m looking forward to returning and working closely together with a former companion,” said Schindzielorz.
