Sky Germany reports that SC Freiburg are set to complete its first signing of the summer with Cyriaque Irié set to join the club from Troyes.
Freiburg have reached a verbal agreement with the 19-year-old over a move from France to the Breisgau. The fee for Irié will be around €10m.
This season, Irié has six goals and three assists in 31 games in Ligue 2 this season. The club, which is located in the Grand Est region of France, is currently 12th in the French second division. They are also a part of the City Football Group multi-club model.
The 19-year-old could be used as a replacement for Ritsu Doan, who could leave the Europa Park in the summer amid interest from fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
When it comes to shopping in the lower divisions of France in recent seasons, Freiburg have found success. Jordy Makengo and Killian Sildillia both joined the Freiburg academy before being promoted to the first team, while Baptiste Santamaria joined from Ligue 1 side Angers in 2020/21.
