Saudi Arabia plotting ambitious raids on Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd stars this summer

Saudi Arabia completed many spectacular transfers during the 2023 summer window, including deals for the likes of Neymar, Karim Benzema, and Sadio Mane.

They are now plotting more signings as they aim to boost the profile of their league.

According to talkSPORT, clubs in the Saudi Pro League will target some top players of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Mohamed Salah was the subject of an offer worth £150 million last summer from Al-Ittihad.

Al-Hilal have now also joined the race for the 31-year-old whose contract at Anfield will expire in 2025.

They could make an offer worth in excess of £70 million at the end of this campaign, with the reduced bid due to the star’s deal expiring in over 12 months time.

While it is not certain how much he would be earning, it is said the Egyptian would be one of the Pro League’s top earners after the move.

Salah is said to be happy in Merseyside and would be willing to see out the final year of his contract at Anfield.

But the 31-year-old’s decision could depend on the Reds’ pursuit of a new manager, with Jurgen Klopp departing Anfield at the end of the season.

Apart from Salah, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyen is also understood to be a top target for the Saudi clubs.

The Beligan is approaching the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, with the midfielder yet to agree a new deal.

Manchester United stars Casemiro and Raphael Varane could also be targeted by the Pro League sides in the next summer transfer window.
