According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United will listen to offers for as many as 13 of their players this summer as they seek to raise around £100 million in transfer funds for Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils are ready to sell several stars like Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, and more to beef up their transfer budget.
United have only £120 million to spend in the transfer market due to financial fair play (FFP) regulations. They need to generate more funds as they have squad gaps to plug in the window.
United want to sign a striker, a midfielder, and a goalkeeper during the transfer window. They are moving cautiously in the market as they have limited funds.
United have refused to match Chelsea’s £65 million valuation of Mason Mount. They have moved on to other targets.
Not like they will find those targets much cheaper. They are in the market for a centre-forward.
However, they have met high valuations for Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Victor Osimhen (Napoli), and Rasmus Hojlund (Atalanta).
Nevertheless, Inter Milan have placed a moderate price tag of £40 million on Ten Hag’s number one goalkeeper target Andre Onana.
United hope to raise an extra £50 million or even £100 million from the players leaving, but they do not expect every single one of the players listed to exit Old Trafford.
United have already agreed to sell Zidane Iqbal to Utrecht for £850,000 plus significant add-ons. He is their first summer departure.
United have no plans of forcing Sancho, Martial, Maguire, and Scott McTominay out of the club. But they will listen to offers for them.
They will consider offers in the region of £45 million for Sancho. He failed to replicate his Bundesliga form in England following his £73 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund two years ago.
Also, Captain Maguire can leave for £40 million following his world-record £80 million transfer in 2019.
Furthermore, Martial has one year left on his deal, and United will accept £25 million for him.
In addition, United will accept £40 million for McTominay and £15 million for Dean Henderson. They have set a £20 million price tag for Fulham target Fred and academy graduate Anthony Elanga.
United have set the following price tags for their fringe players; Alex Telles (£10 million), Eric Bailly (£2 million), Brandon Williams (£5 million), Hannibal Mejbri (£13 million).
