San Jose Earthquakes have entered the race for want away RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, per Sky Germany’s latest report.
The pay-TV channel understands that talks have taken place between the MLS club and the German striker.
However, competition is fierce given Werner and his agents have also held talks with Inter Miami over a possible January move.
Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg still notes that the Californian based Earthquakes are currently the more concrete option.
Werner’s contract runs until 2026. The Saxony side also tried to offload him to the New York Red Bulls but the move ultimately collapsed.
In his 215 appearances for Leipzig across all competitions, the 29-year-old scored 113 goals and provided 47 assists.
