Thomas Tuchel delivered a “masterclass” in Bayern’s draw with Arsenal, according to Matthias Sammer.
Matthias Sammer was impressed with what he saw from Bayern Munich in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The former Germany international believes Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel got the tactics right and says it was one of Bayern’s best performances of the season.
“Thomas Tuchel delivered a tactical masterclass,” Sammer told Amazon Prime, as quoted by UEFA.com.
“Bayern showed great order on the pitch; they were compact, very aggressive and very disciplined.
“It was among their best matches of the season,” Sammer added.
Tuchel was under a lot of pressure going into the game after back-to-back defeats in the Bundesliga.
It’s already clear that he will step down as Bayern coach at the end of the season, but it’s still not known who will replace him.
