Bayern Munich want to explore the possibility of extending Benjamin Pavard’s contract beyond 2024, board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed.
“We will talk and see how he feels. I have nothing against it. I’m happy that he’s with us,” Salihamidzic told Abendzeitung.
“Benji is playing a very good second half of the season. He’s showing confidence and is doing a very good job overall,” the Bayern boss added.
Whether the parties will agree on a new contract will depend on the financial side of things, according to Sky Germany, who claim that Bayern don’t want to extend the defender’s contract “at any price”.
Pavard has reportedly attracted interest from other top European clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United.
