Bayern München board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic has reacted to reports suggesting that Leroy Sané could leave the Bavarians to sign for Manchester United before the transfer window closes.
In an interview with Sky Germany, the Bayern chief poured cold water on the speculation surrounding the German international winger.
“There’s no truth to that,” Salihamidzic insisted.
“Leroy is an important player for us, so there’s nothing to say about that at all.”
Bayern put €60 million on the table to sign Sané from Manchester City in 2020. He has come on from the bench in each of Bayern’s two competitive games so far this season.
