According to a report by L’Équipe, Saïd Benrahma (29) has been ruled out of Olympique Lyonnais’ visit to Angers SCO on Saturday evening.
The former Brentford and West Ham United winger was substituted at halftime in the 4-1 victory over OGC Nice Sunday after he felt discomfort in his thigh. The French outlet writes that it’s expected that Benrahma will be unavailable for the trip to Angers after he then missed training on Thursday the 5th of December.
However, it is thought that Benrahma will be back in the squad when Lyon host Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday the 12th of December in their Europa League clash. Lyon currently sit seventh in the table after winning three losing one and also drawing one.
The future of Benrahma beyond the winter transfer window looks somewhat unclear. Lyon’s financial problems mean that they will likely have to sell in January and there have been previous reports that the club would be keen to part with a player who only arrived midway through last season.
