Ronaldinho’s 17-year-old son, João de Assis Moreira, is training with FC Barcelona ahead of completing a move to the club’s U19 team.
After leaving Brazilian side Cruzeiro, the son of the ex-Blaugrana star has been in Barcelona for the last 10 days preparing for his move.
As reported by sports news program Sin Concesiones, Ronaldinho’s son appears to be well set to follow in his father’s footsteps and play in the famous Blaugrana jersey.
As per Mundo Deportivo, negotiations are taking place directly between club president Joan Laporta and the young star’s uncle Roberto de Assis, who was also Ronaldinho’s agent.
Roberto de Assis is currently in Barcelona with his nephew, who until now was playing for Cruzeiro’s youth teams.
João de Assis is an offensive who can play either as a striker or attacking midfielder. While he is right-footed, he can play fluidly with both feet, and he has been described as a skillful player.
The young attacker wants to continue developing as a player, and hopes to keep on doing so at the club where his father became a legend.
