Inter’s 3-2 win over Atalanta meant that they now sealed qualification into the Champions League and are no guaranteed to finish inside the top four.
But like it has been the case over the last few weeks, it was another Romelu Lukaku-Lautaro Martinez show that helped the Nerazzurri though, as the Belgian scored once and so did the Argentine. Martinez’s goal was set up brilliantly by Lukaku, who played a terrific ball-in to Marcelo Brozovic, with the Croatian setting up an easy finish for Martinez.
Lukaku has now scored five goals in his last four Serie A games. Since the start of April, he has played nine league games and has seven goals and four assists during this time.
The 25-year-old Martinez meanwhile, has also shined. He has 20 league goals in the season and since the start of April, he has scored seven times and has racked up two assists.
With the Champions League final coming up, the form of these two will be vital against Manchester City and Simone Inzaghi.
