Romelu Lukaku is back in the limelight and is back making an impact, with his Roma spell continuing to glitter with a glut of goals.
The Giallorossi picked up a dominant 4-1 win over Cagliari and are now on a three-game unbeaten run in all competitions and it came after a horror start to the season. Lukaku grabbed a brace, but Roma rode on a goal each from summer signing Houssem Aouar and Andrea Belotti to climb upto tenth in the Serie A table.
But it is Lukaku who has been incredibly vital for Jose Mourinho’s side, silencing a lot of critics and those that doubted him when he had essentially betrayed Inter. In eight games in all competitions, the Belgian has scored seven goals for the club and two of his goals have come in the Europa League.
In the process, Lukaku has also made history for Roma. Only Stephan El Shaarawy and Gabriel Batistuta have scored four times in the first six games, with the Belgian showing how good he can be when he gets going.
