Roma’s Renato Sanches set to miss two weeks of action

Roma midfielder Renato Sanches is now set to miss two weeks of action after the injury he picked up in the Europa League recently.

Sanches featured against Sheriff in mid-week but he was later taken off due to injury by Jose Mourinho, who was quite vocal publicly about his compatriot and his fitness and he stated that Sanches is someone that neither Paris Saint-Germain nor Bayern Munich could understand.

Sky Italia have now confirmed that Sanches will be out for two weeks and he has picked up a first degree muscle injury on his right thigh. As a result, the midfielder will miss three games and he will not be available for the Giallorossi’s games against Torino, Genoa and Frosinone. This is his second muscle injury in the season so far.

The Portugal international has played two games in Serie A and already has one goal but like Mourinho himself, it would be natural for Roma fans to be frustrated about their new signing.
