With Roma set to face Fiorentina in a vital fixture this evening at the Stadio Olimpico, it is not certain that central midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini will be involved in the match from the opening whistle.
Il Corriere della Sera reports, via ForzaRoma, that the Giallorossi skipper is in contention with academy graduate Edoardo Bove for a spot in the starting three-in-midfield against La Viola, despite the Italian international being deemed available after having recovered from his injury.
So far this season, the 21-year-old holding-midfielder has flourished under the Special One, attaining 12 appearances in the domestic league, in which he has displayed his maturity and impeccable quality on the ball.
Consequently, Bove’s fine run of form makes it very difficult for the Portuguese tactician to reintegrate Pellegrini into the starting eleven in such a sudden matter.
