Real Madrid star Rodrygo tonight made use of the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest players in the history of the club.
Los Blancos, of course, are currently locked in action, on the continent.
In the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have welcomed Premier League champions Manchester City to the Spanish capital.
And, after nothing short of a nightmare start, Real have since very much turned things around.
Incredibly, Man City took the lead inside the opening two minutes, courtesy of a clever Bernardo Silva free-kick.
From here, however, the hosts wasted little time in putting their European pedigree on show, through a lightning turnaround.
After Eduardo Camavinga’s long-distance strike deflected beyond Stefan Ortega, Rodrygo broke free in behind, with his effort also taking a touch on its way into the far corner.
And, as alluded to above, the latter, from here, made use of his celebratory chance to pay tribute to none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
As much came courtesy of the Blancos icon’s famed ‘Siuu’ celebration:
