Rodrigo Ribeiro to FC Augsburg is a done deal, according to Sky Germany.
The 20-year-old forward is currently finalising his move at Augsburg, with confirmation of the move expected soon.
The Sporting B player will first sign a loan deal for the remainder of the season, with an option-to-buy clause attached.
As per Transfermarkt, Ribeiro’s current market value is €2.5m.
In 11 appearances in the Liga Portugal 2 this season, the forward has scored five times and assisted once. The youngster also continues to feature at Portugal youth level for the U20s where he’s scored three times in 17 caps.
It could prove to be a fantastic move for both player and club. Augsburg are in need of attacking reinforcements as they attempt to steer clear of the relegation zone. For Ribeiro, it’s the perfect place to get game time, develop, and potentially make a name for himself.
