Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has dropped a major hint over his keenness to link up with Nico Williams next season.
La Blaugrana are working overtime to try and secure a deal to bring Williams to Catalonia as their primary summer transfer target.
Progress remains slow, despite reports of a contract being agreed with the 22-year-old, as Athletic Club are prepared to hold out for his full €58m release clause.
Lewandowski fell short of 20 La Liga goals last season, the first time he has failed to hit that league mark since 2015, with service to the Polish international an issue.
The veteran striker slipped in an unsubtle tip over his view on signing Williams when asked how Barcelona should set up next season according to Relevo.
Lewandowski has told the club he wants to play with two pure wingers to help get the best from his striking instincts inside the box.
No confirmation on Williams is expected until at least the start of August as he returns from an extended summer break.
