Marco Reus has given his verdict on Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League group stage opponents.
Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus has reacted to his side’s UEFA Champions League group stage draw.
Most remarkably, today’s draw saw Dortmund drawn against Manchester City, which means ‘Die Schwarzgelben’ will be reunited with Erling Haaland following his move to the Etihad Stadium earlier this summer.
“Manchester City is naturally a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League. We’re looking forward to it just as much as we are to the reunion with Erling Haaland,” Reus is quoted as saying by Borussia Dortmund.
He went on to give his verdict on the two remaining teams in the group, Sevilla and FC Copenhagen:
“We won in Seville in 2021 and played a really good game. Copenhagen is the Danish champion, and the city is of course a really cool travel location for our fans too.”
