Marco Reus is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Much indicates that Borussia Dortmund icon Marco Reus will leave the club at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Dortmund are strongly inclined to let it expire, according to Sport Bild.
Reports suggest that Reus has a strained relationship with BVB coach Edin Terzic and is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time, with his last start dating back to a 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on March 17.
The biggest question no longer appears to be if he’ll leave Dortmund or not, but who he will be playing for next season.
According to a report from Footballtransfers, Reus isn’t looking to retire from football, but rather take on a new adventure, with a move to the United States mentioned as a possibility.
While there have been rumors of a return to Borussia Mönchengladbach, a move within the Bundesliga seems unlikely at this point.
