New Nice manager Lucien Favre has been trying to attract Marcus Thuram to Ligue 1 for several weeks. However, the 25-year-old would not prefer a move to Nice. Thuram is still interested in a move away from Gladbach in hopes of getting more attention before the World Cup in Qatar.
The Frenchman started and scored in Gladbach’s 3-1 win over Hoffenheim on Matchday 1. With the loss of Breel Embolo to Monaco, Thuram has become even more important for Gladbach’s European dreams. His current contract expires in the summer of 2023.
