Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch looks to be on the move to Italy as Fabrizio Romano reports that talks are underway.
The Austrian international has been linked with a move away from Germany for quite some time with a contract that now expires in just a few days. It seems set that Grillitsch is headed to Fiorentina where he’ll look to regain his form in a new league.
Grillitsch has been a difference-maker during his time at Hoffenheim, but this past campaign has been hampered by Covid-19 and muscular injuries. The former Werder Bremen star has shown his versatility for Die Kraichgauer since his move in 2017 as he can play as a center-back or in midfield, especially as a No. 6.
Fiorentina are in well advanced talks to sign Florian Grillitsch as free agent. Austrian midfielder’s contract with Hoffenheim will expire in the coming days and it won’t be extended. 🟣🇦🇹 #transfers

This transfer makes sense as Fiorentina’s Lucas Torreira is headed out of the club. After reports linked the 26-year-old with the likes of Lazio and Arsenal, Grillitsch is ready to complete his move to play European football as talks are underway for a contract until 2026.
