The home crowd in attendance at Real Madrid’s meeting with Alavés on Tuesday made use of the opportunity to send a collective message to veteran midfield pair Toni Kroos, and Luka Modrić.
As much, of course, comes amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the futures of the pair with the club.
Both Kroos and Modrić are due to see their terms with Real Madrid expire in the summer, with it as of yet unclear whether either will go on to renew.
One thing that certainly is clear, on the other hand, is that those of a Blancos persuasion are desperate for both to continue their legendary stints in Spain’s capital into next season.
Real, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
With the La Liga title long wrapped up, Los Merengues welcomed Alavés to the Santiago Bernabéu, ultimately emerging on the right side of a dominant 5-0 scoreline.
And, en route to as much, chants directed at Kroos and Modrić alike were on multiple occasions heard booming from the stands.
The calls in question? ‘Kroos, stay!’, and ‘Modrić, stay!’
