Real Madrid’s pursuit of Leny Yoro (18) has not ended despite Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool circling the waters for the young French defender.
The Spanish club hope to offer €30 million for a centre-back who will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Lille OSC. His current club are desperate to sell Yoro while they can still collect a transfer fee for their player, but this offer from Real Madrid is far below what Lille believe the defender is worth.
Lille hope that a bidding war will be fuelled by the competing desires from the different elite European sides lining up to try and secure Yoro’s signature, something that Madrid are keen to avoid.
Real Madrid’s transfer plan takes shape
Foot Mercato reports that Real Madrid will rely on Yoro’s willingness to join them, and they hope that he will reject the advances from Liverpool and PSG. In this case, Lille would have to be more flexible if they want to secure a transfer fee and drop their price to meet that of the Spanish champions.
