Real Madrid are worth $5.1 billion, making the Spanish club the world’s most valuable football team, according to a report produced by Forbes.
The $5.1 billion figure has seen them grow by 7% from last year. Madrid won a record 14th Champions League title in Paris on 28 May, beating Liverpool in the final.
The two Champions League finalists reportedly received $17.5 million in prize money for reaching the final of the competition.
The La Liga winners will also receive $5.1 million for qualifying for August’s UEFA Super Cup against Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
Barcelona are currently the second most valuable football team in the world. The Camp Nou outfit are worth $5 billion, 6% more than a year ago.
