An alarming update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has on Tuesday come to the fore online.
This comes amid the understanding that the Englishman could be in line for an extended incoming spell on the sidelines.
Midfielder Bellingham for his part suffered an injury setback early this month.
Less than 10 minutes into a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano, the former Borussia Dortmund man pulled up before limping from the pitch with a muscular problem.
It was later confirmed that Bellingham had picked up a thigh complaint.
Initial reports suggested that the 22-year-old was in line for a spell of around a month on the treatment table.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then Belligham’s absence could yet be considerably more prolonged.
As per a report from journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon:
‘Bellingham’s injury doesn’t look like it will keep him out for just one month. It could stretch to two months.’
