Real Madrid name asking price after deciding to ‘listen to offers’ for wantaway midfielder

La Liga giants Real Madrid have opened to the sale of a member of the club’s midfield ranks, with a view to this week’s transfer deadline.

That’s according to The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana, who points towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.

The name of midfielder Ceballos has reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter in Spain’s capital over recent hours.

This comes after murmurs began to spread that the former Arsenal man was once more actively seeking out a Santiago Bernabéu exit.

And, as alluded to above, late this evening, as much has been confirmed.

As per the aforementioned Mario Cortegana:

The Athletic reported in July that the 28-year-old had expressed his desire to leave to Real Madrid and Ceballos has reiterated his intentions to the club’s board and manager Carlo Ancelotti again this week.’

And, this time round, Ceballos’ request looks increasingly likely to be granted.

This comes with the Real Madrid brass now ready to listen to offers for the 28-year-old.

Amid interest on the part of the likes of Real Betis and AS Monaco, permanent proposals will be taken into consideration, with Los Blancos seeking out a fee in the region of €15 million.
