Real Madrid & Liverpool tipped for midfielder swap deal

A surprise exchange deal has this week been rumoured between La Liga giants Real Madrid, and Premier League champions Liverpool.

This comes amid the understanding that the former have set sights on the signature of Alexis Mac Allister.

Real Madrid, amid ongoing efforts to cover for the recent departures of both Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, are widely expected to add to their ranks in the middle of the park with a view to next season.

A player capable of impacting all phases of the game is being sought by the Bernabéu brass.

And according to Fichajes, sitting atop Los Blancos’ wishlist as things stand is the aforementioned Alexis Mac Allister.

Coincidentally, Liverpool also hold a long-term interest in a member of the engine room setup in Spain’s capital, namely Aurélien Tchouaméni.

To open the door to a potential Mac Allister exit, the Reds have in turn been tipped to demand Tchouaméni in return.

The issue as things stand, however, is the latter’s eagerness to stay put at Real Madrid.

In the case of Tchouaméni being convinced otherwise, though, an altogether high-profile midfield swap deal could be on the cards between two of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer.
