Real Madrid have on Friday been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that attacker Rodrygo has returned to group training alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The subject of injuries has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital once more over the course of recent days.
This comes after Real’s lengthy absentee list, already featuring the likes of Aurélien Tchouaméni, Éder Militão, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Rodrygo and Vinícius Jr, was added to by Eduardo Camavinga.
The French midfielder is expected to be sidelined for the next three weeks with a hamstring problem suffered en route to a 2-0 Champions League defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
Safe to say, then, that some positive news on the personnel front was long overdue behind the scenes in Madrid.
And, as alluded to above, on Friday, precisely as much has been revealed.
This comes amid confirmation that Rodrygo, sidelined since early this month owing to a muscular injury, has returned to full training ahead of schedule.
The Brazilian international is expected to be given the medical green light to return to matchday duties on Sunday against Getafe as a result.
