La Liga giants Real Madrid are sweating over the availability of a key member of the club’s backline for their upcoming Champions League showdown with Arsenal.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Antonio Rüdiger as the player in question.
Rüdiger, for his part, is one of a number of Real Madrid stars currently under investigation on the part of UEFA.
Alongside the German, all of Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr. and Dani Ceballos are under review by European football’s governing body.
This comes owing to their respective actions in the aftermath of Los Blancos’ Champions League Last-16 downing of Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.
All four have been accused of provocative behaviour, but it is Rüdiger whom the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu are most fearful of being hit with a sanction.
As per Marca:
‘Rüdiger’s gesture was not well received and was considered threatening. It could all come down to a fine and a deferred suspension, but it doesn’t seem that clear. His presence against Arsenal is in doubt.’
