An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has come to the fore in the early hours of Sunday.
This, of course, comes after midfielder Bellingham set alarm bells ringing across Spain’s capital late on Saturday night.
Amid another scintillating display, which saw him notch a brace en route to a 4-0 title showdown drubbing of Girona, the 20-year-old was forced into a departure from proceedings, just shy of the hour mark.
This came after Bellingham was involved in a heavy collision in the Girona penalty area during the first 45.
Speaking to the media post-match, Carlo Ancelotti went on to confirm that the former Borussia Dortmund man has been pencilled in for a round of medical tests, owing to an ankle sprain:
“Bellingham has an ankle sprain. We will assess him tomorrow,” Real’s headmaster confirmed.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, however, then Los Blancos’ supporters, as of yet, need not fret.
As confirmed by the reliable José Félix Díaz of Marca, Bellingham’s issue has already been identified as ‘not serious’.
The Englishman, in turn, could yet be available to feature from the off when Real Madrid make the trip to Germany for a Champions League Last-16 first-leg showdown with RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.
