Real Betis have started negotiations with Leicester City regarding the transfer of Ayoze Pérez, report Marca.
Having been knocked out of the Copa del Rey midweek, Los Verdiblancos will focus on their La Liga and Europa League campaigns for the remainder of the season. Real Betis are currently just outside of the Champions League places in the league standings and the club’s board hope that a good spell between now and the summer could help the club qualify for the continent’s most prestigious competition.
In order to bolster their squad, Real Betis have identified Ayoze Pérez as a transfer target and the Andaluz side are already in talks with Leicester City over a potential deal.
With the Spaniard’s contract expiring at the end of the season with The Foxes, Manuel Pellegrini hopes that Real Betis can secure the services of the 29-year-old at a relatively low price.
