Ilkay Gündogan believes Germany have a realistic chance of reaching the World Cup final in Qatar despite finishing just third in Group A3 of the UEFA Nations League.
Speaking to reporters after Monday’s 3-3 draw with England, the Manchester City midfielder told reporters:
“Reaching the World Cup final is not unrealistic.
“Lots of things would obviously have to go right, but I don’t think any country is miles ahead of everyone else.”
Germany have been drawn against Spain, Japan and Costa Rica in the group stages of the World Cup.
